Abstract

Staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome (SSSS) in premature infants is a rare condition. We present SSSS in a preterm infant, who developed all signs and symptoms of SSSS at birth, with a fatal outcome due to fungemia caused by Candida parapsilosis.
